Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 24th, 2026

The Relentless Parent (“I,” “me,” “my”) respects your privacy and the sensitivity of your family’s information. This policy explains what I collect, how I use it, who I share it with, and how I keep it safe. I provide special education advocacy and insurance-appeal support; I am an advocate, not an attorney, and this policy is not legal advice.

1. Who I am

The Relentless Parent is my advocacy practice based in Elk Grove, California. In person, I’m able to serve families in Sacramento County and for insurance appeals I’m able to help families across California, remotely. You can reach me at Lelia@TheRelentlessParent.com.

2. What information I collect

Information you give me through my contact form or during a consultation:

● Your name, email, and phone number.

● Your child’s school district and grade.

● What you need help with, and whether insurance has denied or limited a therapy.

Records you share so I can help you:

● Your child’s educational records — IEPs, 504 plans, evaluations, assessments, progress reports, and correspondence with the school.

● For appeals: medical and insurance records — denial letters, plan documents, and clinical information needed to argue medical necessity.

Website data:

● Standard technical information and cookies set by my website host (Squarespace) when you visit the site — see Section 7.

3. How I use your information

I use your information only to provide the services you’ve asked for: to understand your situation, prepare for IEP or 504 meetings, build and file insurance appeals, communicate with you, and (where you authorize it) communicate on your behalf with your child’s school district or your insurer as your authorized representative. I do not sell your information, and I do not use it for advertising.

4. When I share information

I share your information only:

● With the school district, agency, or insurer — when you have authorized me to advocate or act on your behalf.

● With the service providers that run my practice (for example, my website host, scheduling tool, and email provider), who process information on my behalf and are expected to keep it secure.

● When I am required to by law.

I never sell or rent your information.

5. Your child’s records (sensitive information)

I handle educational and medical records about minors with care. I collect these records only from you, the parent or guardian, use them solely for your engagement, and store them securely. You can ask me at any time what I hold, request a copy, or ask me to delete records I no longer need to keep.

6. How I store and protect your information

Your family’s records are kept confidential and stored securely, with access limited to only me. I keep records only as long as I need them to provide services and meet reasonable recordkeeping obligations, and then I delete them.

7. Cookies and website analytics

My website is hosted on Squarespace, which uses cookies for basic site function and analytics. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings and through any cookie banner shown on the site.

8. Your choices and rights

You may ask me to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or withdraw your authorization for me to act on your behalf, at any time by emailing Lelia@TheRelentlessParent.com. As a California resident you may have additional rights under California privacy law, and I will honor applicable requests.

9. Children

My services are purchased by adults, the parents and guardians. I do not knowingly collect information directly from children. Any information about a child is provided to me by their parent or guardian for the purpose of the engagement.

10. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy as my practice grows. The effective date at the top shows the most recent version.
