I'm the person who reads every page, finds what they missed, and doesn't stop until that "no" becomes a "yes."

What I do

I stand beside parents and guardians at the IEP table, and I take on insurance companies when they deny a child the care they need. I prepare for both like it's my own child sitting across that table; because the difference between a child getting what they're owed and getting overlooked is usually one person who refuses to let it go. I built my practice to be that person for your family.

I've done this when it counted

When my own family was hit with a complex insurance denial, I refused to accept it. I dug into the records, found what the insurer had overlooked, and wrote a thirty-page appeal myself — and won. That experience showed me how many parents are fighting these same battles alone, and how much it matters to have someone who knows how to build the case. No parent should have to choose whether their energy goes towards fighting the system or being present for their child.

Relentless detail is my sharpest tool

My background is in finance and documentation, where "good enough" doesn't exist. I read every page, track every deadline, and I can't rest until a file is airtight. The details that overwhelm most people are the ones my brain locks onto. I track every piece of information and every deadline for your child like it's the most important thing in the world, because for your family, it is.

Where this comes from

This work isn't a career move for me, it's how I was raised. My mother, a career special education teacher with a heart of gold, spent her life opening our home to foster youth, many of them facing serious emotional and behavioral challenges. Growing up in this environment gave me a deep, intuitive empathy and the ability to put myself in anyone's shoes — the frustrated parent, the overwhelmed teacher, the child who's stopped raising their hand — and find the middle ground that genuinely moves a case forward.

Over the years, I’ve also spent countless hours in special education classrooms, watching how the system treats its most vulnerable kids. It showed me how much a prepared, relentless advocate can change the outcome for a child. That's why I’m choosing to do this work; so, no parent has to walk into that system alone.

I’m trained, and honest about my limits

I'm an advocate, not an attorney, and I'll always tell you if it's time to bring one in. My practice is built on the Wrightslaw framework, and I'm completing my advocate training now. I serve families across Sacramento County and handle insurance appeals statewide.

Warm, prepared, and relentless — that's the whole job. And I'm good at it.
